What’s so cool about virgin coconut oil?
Coconut oil is the best! Coconut oil is high in lauric acid, which means it has antibacterial and antifungal properties, and destroys all kinds of microbesa – from viruses to bacteria. It is amazing on the skin and also can be used as a hair conditioner, tooth whitener, and deodorant. Because of it’s antibacterial properties it is also amazing for oil pulling.
Virgin Coconut oil is an oil that is extracted from the meat of matured coconuts harvested from coconut palm trees. To extract the coconut oil, the meat is first dried and then ‘expeller pressed’, which means that the oils are pressed from the coconut meat with a machine.

DIY Hand Scrub
Ingredients:
- 1 T. coconut oil
- 2 T raw honey
- 1/4 c. sea salt
- 1/4 c. organic sugar
- 1 T. lemon juice
Directions:
Stir together honey and coconut oil. Set aside. In another bowl, mix sea salt, organic sugar and lemon juice till it becomes a crumbly mixture. Add honey/coconut oil and mix all together until smooth. Store in your favorite glass jar and use as needed!
