How to Finally Get the Guts to Be Yourself (No Matter What Anyone Thinks!)

~by Tera Warner

The layers of social veneer are thicker than they appear. Thanks to the influence of media messages, mom’s well-intentioned words of wisdom, and the opinions of the neighbor next door, we’ve cultivated a hidden compulsion to make ourselves likeable and acceptable in the eyes of others. So how do you finally get the guts, in that socially sticky soup of communication, to finally be “the real” you?!

You Are As Alive As You Are Willing to Communicate

[tweet_dis]Beneath all the layers of being who everyone else wants you to be, there’s a woman itching to strut her stuff[/tweet_dis], says what she thinks, and walk to the beat of her own drum! In spite of what 3000 incoming media messages per day want you to believe, inside there somewhere you know you’re enough! Smart enough, strong enough, beautiful enough, kind enough, honest enough, and bold enough to stand for what you believe in and make a difference in the world.

You don’t need more acronyms after your name to be able to do something good for the world. Don’t save, your pennies for a set of golf clubs at 65 or your breath for a day when someone might listen! Today’s the day to risk not being as “likeable” so you can start being more ALIVE:

Whatever your size, shape, financial state and everything else in between, the fact that you’re here reading this while your heart beats and your eyelids blink is a verifiable flippin’ MIRACLE! If you want to make the most of that miracle, start finding ways to make a bit of noise–stand for what you believe in, express yourself, let your tongue flap and your lips slap in the name of saying what you’ve got on your mind.

When you spill your messy bits of authenticity onto the world, you give others permission to do the same! Wouldn’t it be great to live in a world where you don’t need to change yourself to please the world, because you know that the one thing the world needs most, is for you to just get busy being yourself.

What if all you needed to improve your health, self-confidence and relationships with other people was a big, fat dose of ENTHUSIASM!? In February 2014, an experiment began to prove that enthusiasm alone could bring a child through the grip of autism. The results were undeniable and now we’re bringing The Enthusiasm Experiment to the world. Sign up here and join us on August 23rd when the world’s happiest experiment begins.
