More Spooktacular Halloween Smoothie Recipes!
~ excerpt from “Spooktacular Spellbook” – Raw Smoothie Potions for the Healthy Halloween Howl
Graveyard Grape Green Smoothie
Ingredients:
- 1 cup water
- 2 cups green grapes
- 2–3 slices pineapple
- 2 big handfuls baby spinach
Directions:
- If you’ve been feeling like you’re ready to be buried, you can come back to life with this zesty little rejuvenator.
- Blend the water with the grapes; add the pineapple (in chunks), and 2 BIG handfuls of baby spinach.
- Blend until smooth.
Green Papaya Potion
Ingredients:
- 2 cups papaya
- 2 oranges
- 3 dates
- 2–3 cups Swiss Chard
Directions:
- Blend papaya and oranges together until the mixture is liquid.
- Add in the other ingredients and blend until thick and creamy.
- This potion will be more like a pudding, but you can also add water to make it a green smoothie.
Mint-night Chocolate Bite
Ingredients:
- 1 cup water
- 3 bananas
- 10–12 mint leaves
- 2 cups baby spinach
- 2 Tbsp. carob powder*
Directions:
- Blend bananas with water, and add in other ingredients progressively.
- Blend until smooth. If you should find yourself in a midnight craving and looking longingly at the mini chocolates, you can turn to your blender and whip up a satisfying and healthy bite that won’t leave you feeling guilty!
- Drink… IF YOU DARE!!!
* A chocolate replacement that can be found in every health food store. You can also substitute with raw cacao powder.
