My Kitchen Tips For Living The Raw Lifestyle!

– by Lynnette Varvil

We’re giving away a brand new Blendtec Blender Wildside this month!  Did you know?  Check out the details HERE.

Today, Lynnette shares with us her top 3 tips kitchen tips for living the raw lifestyle!  Thanks so much for sharing, Lynnette!

And now… Let’s Take A Peek Inside Lynnette’s Kitchen… and Freezer!

1. Store Seeds, Nuts, Cacao & Raw Goodies In The Freezer

I store all my seeds, nuts, cacao, bee pollen, and other raw goodies in the freezer to maintain freshness, and you don’t have to worry about them going rancid for a long time! I also put a clip on the packaging for extra protection to ensure nothing spills out!

You could also put them in mason jars and label them if you think that’s easier. The bee pollen we have is in a mason jar, although it can be tough to open because of being in the freezer.

2. Keep Your Blender and Juicer Clean!

Keep Your Blender and Juicer Clean! If you want to be successful on this raw journey, first you need the food and equipment to do so. Most likely you will end up using a juicer, blender and dehydrator everyday.

It is so very important to make sure that once you are done using these wonderful pieces of technology, that you keep them clean.

I usually clean the blender and let it air dry to then put together later and store on my counter. As for the juicer it may take a tad more time. Don’t forget to use the pulp as compost! Keeping your juicer and its screen clean will ensure you get the most out of your juice so you can feel the vibrational energy from that yummy juice!

2. Store Extra Fruits & Veggies In A Wooden Basket

Store Extra Fruits & Veggies In A Wooden BasketIf you have a small kitchen like I do, you may not have the extra room to store many fruits and veggies. Fear not, there is a solution!

In my case we have extra wooden baskets in our basement to use, so I just grabbed one of them and piled all my veggies and fruits in there, place on the floor and your good to go!

If you don’t have an extra basket you can always search for one at a local yard or garage sale for cheap.

You can also use a big glass bowl or ceramic dish to put on your counter, if there is room. We also have limited refrigerator room so the veggies that can be out of the fridge are put in our raw basket of love.

I hope you enjoyed my tips! Let’s share our tips with one another so that we can help each other on this raw journey! 🙂
