Learn to Trust Your Gut and Believe in Your Dreams

At our Tulum retreat this May, when the first bus of ladies arrived at our retreat location, there was a fuss and fluster at the back end of the bus. Travel can do things to a gal, so I never worry too much about crusty, dusty ladies on a bus. Once they see the ocean, get warm sand under their feet and a few minutes with me, I know I’ll get things all ironed out.

When I came to greet the first crew of new arrivals there was one slightly disgruntled camper who looked at me, rolled her eyes, huffed and puffed that there was someone on the bus who had been rubbing her the wrong way. That’s when, with a thunderous burst of enthusiasm, a hearty laugh and a beautiful body, Stef Putnam burst off the bus and wrapped her arms around me.

She was there for the same reason as the rest of the dusty, crusty women who had rocked up to a sunny beach in Mexico–to find herself again. To restore her belief in her dreams and help bring her passion into the world in a meaningful way! And Stef was going to do it with the utmost authenticity!!

Meet Stef Putnam

As a red-headed, renegade rule-breaker, I know how to recognize a trouble-maker when I see one and Stef certainly fits the bill.

She wears no leash and says things as she feels them. Her laugh is loud, her hugs are strong and her tears are real and fearless.

When she and I sat cozied up for a conversation in Mexico it was clear we were destined to do things together.

Stef sat down and shared that her big passion in life was  medicinal herbs and making “tea.” She wanted to create a line of teas that would help infuse the world with health, herbs and good vibrations.

I said, “Well isn’t that a neat coincidence! My name is Tera–“tea” “raw” and the two things I  love most are tea and simple/raw food. So how about we find a way to make it happen together?” (I’m paraphrasing, of course.) 😉 And now here she is cozied up living with me in the castle and we’ll be starting production on our new line of teas this week!!

What Happens In Mexico Doesn’t Stay In Mexico

They say that what happens in Vegas stays in Vegas, but what happens in Tulum ripples a shockwave out to the whole, wide world!

It’s a pretty incredible thing when you gather up the courage to conquer your fears and join a few spirited women in a place where the horizon stretches to forever!

Since Tulum, Monica (in the middle) has gone on to become the lead trainer for our coaches on the creation of a new program to help people overcome Diabetes! Shannon (right) is the head of our Treasury Division now, kicking some serious butt and bringing the company to a whole, new level.

I’ve always said I wanted to build a company that would be a company for any other passionate, committed, courageous and determined woman who wanted to make it hers, too. Darn tootin’ if I’m about bowled over with gratitude that it WORKED!!!

Life, when you decide to trust your “gut” instead of work your butt off to get a set of golf clubs at 65, is a pretty fantastic adventure. Thanks for being here with me to help make it all possible.

Love and sun-kissed cheeks,

Tera
